Soyeong Park

Soyeong-ParkSoyeong Park debuted with the Philadelphia Orchestra under the baton of Charles Dutoit as a winner of the 2009 Albert M. Greenfield Competition children’s division.

Recently, she claimed first prizes of NJ ASTA Solo Strings Competition junior division, Sinfonietta Nova Youth Concerto Competition, and Kennett Symphony Competition. She also won first prizes of the 29th Goldblatt Scholarship Competition, Woodmere Friday Music Club Competition, Old York Road Competition and Monmouth Symphony Concerto Competition. She was invited to perform with the Monmouth Symphony, Old York Road Symphony, Kennett Symphony in the following season.

Soyeong has served as a concertmistress in New Jersey All-State Intermediate Orchestra in three consecutive years from 2009 to 2011 and CJMEA High School Region Orchestra in 2012 . Her ensemble experiences include ‘Youth Chamber Orchestra’ and Quartet in the Center for Gifted Young Musicians of Temple Music Prep., the Greater Princeton Youth Symphony, Kimmel Center Summer Chamber Music Program, and String Ensemble and Quartet in WW-P High School North.

She currently studies with Yayoi Numazawa and Yumi Scott, and has studied with Mei Chen Barnes.
