Sinfonietta Nova concludes the 2012-2013 season with a special concert entitled At Your Request. To show our heartfelt appreciation and thanks to you, our loyal audience, for all of your support, we’ve put together a program from pieces that you’ve requested!
The orchestra will perform popular favorites, including Leonard Bernstein’s delightful Overture to Candide and Richard Wagner’s Siegfried Idyll, composed as a birthday present for his wife Cosima, after the birth of their son. Guest soloists will be featured in selections from Franz Lehár’s The Merry Widow, and the concert will conclude with Antonín Dvořák’s majestic Symphony No. 9, From the New World.
