Hannah Lam, 16, is a junior at Cherry Hill High School East. As a soloist, she has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra in Verizon Hall of the Kimmel Center as winner of the Albert Greenfield Competition. She has appeared with the Ambler Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonic of Southern New Jersey, Old York Road Symphony, Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra, and Cairn University Symphony.
This past summer, she was concertmaster of the World Youth Symphony Orchestra at Interlochen Arts Camp and currently acts as co-concertmaster of the Cherry Hill East Symphony Orchestra. She performs regularly with Symphony in C and was a member of NJ All State Orchestra. In addition to receiving a full merit scholarship to attend Interlochen’s String Quartet Program, Hannah was a four-year recipient of the Dorothy Richard Starling Scholarship at Temple University’s Center for Gifted Young Musician as well as a recipient of the Advanced Study Ensemble Scholarship at Settlement Music School.
Hannah has participated in master classes with Pamela Frank, Joel Smirnoff, Jorja Fleezanis, Frank Huang, Annie Fullard, the Johannes Quartet, the Miami String Quartet, and the Turtle Island Quartet.
Outside of music, Hannah enjoys competitive fencing and participates in the Cherry Hill East Track Team and Math Team.
